Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Lunglei organized an Animal Health Camp under the Technology Demonstration Component (TDC) of NICRA to promote livestock health and enhance farmers’ awareness on disease prevention and management. The camp aimed to provide veterinary services, vaccination, deworming, and treatment for common livestock ailments in the NICRA-adopted village. A total of 107 farmers from nearby villages participated, bringing cattle, pigs, goats, and poultry for examination.
During the camp, KVK experts provided technical guidance on scientific livestock rearing, housing, balanced feeding, and disease control measures to build farmers’ resilience against climate-induced animal health challenges. The programme helped strengthen the linkage between farmers and KVK, ensuring better adoption of animal health and management practices for sustainable livestock production.
